A Southern Dark Ride

In the summer of 2018 artist Joel Zika built an animated installation in a historic ghost train in Oxford Alabama. Using projection mapping designed specifically for this unusual space, original props were removed and the darkened tunnels were used to build a new immersive space.  The result A Southern Dark Ride, a 3 minute ride experience into this hybrid multimedia space.

'Mukta- The Pearl' is a chapter of the Augmented Organism's focus on meditation and healing through environmentally focused Dance Film. Furthering the 2016-2018 'Augmented Organism - Finland' research project’s focus on Environmentally Adaptive Choreography, the Bangladesh Project site specific performance continues to apply immersive 360 video methodologies of movement, exploring and responding within the Bangladeshi landscape of Cox’s Bazar. Both filmmaker and dancer co-author an experimental bridge between identity and environment.
